The Wide Space
Yoga uses nature to guide beings back to a more balanced way of life. You see, nature knows when to rest. It has its cycles and pulses. While practicing yoga we turn our attention inward in a gentle inquiring way to see what’s there, through feeling. And not in the emotional sense, in the actual sensation sense. It’s about finding an open and receptive attitude of life in real time.
Yes, the modern machine world has even affected yoga styles with competitive events, sporty outfits and equipment. But, all you really need is a body and the floor and some instruction. Then, the willingness to become consistent. In that consistency find the willingness to become open to discover the amazing body that one occupies. You see, we have learned a lot, yet have become unbalanced; constantly directing our attention outward to safely navigate the system. What do the experts say? Am I doing it right? What will they think of me? And the millions of other thoughts that are worthless, not to mention harmful to the health and well being of the body. What do we do about this? We turn to the body itself. It is the wide open door to your peace, health, and strength.
With all our modern comforts the polar opposite of pain has arrived. It has created legions of still bodies and busy minds. Then, a cycle starts up of mind affecting body and visa-versa. This is ubiquitous and made worse by stimulants to get going and depressants to chill out. Yoga has the solution. The concentrated and consistent effort in a yoga practice has been clinically proven to lower stress, reduce pain, change brainwaves, improve cardiovascular health and more. And that walking on air feeling after a good yoga session?
That’s your body saying,
Thank You!
